Weekly Watch Focus: Pro Life

FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2011. Earlier this week the Associated Foreign Press reported that infanticide is on the rise in Pakistan. More than 1,000 newborns were abandoned or murdered last year, most of them baby girls. This is just one more indication that all across the world and especially the West where abortion is rampant, the sanctity of human life is in peril. Fifty-two million babies have been aborted since Roe v. Wade in this prosperous nation alone. Murder of innocents is an abomination unto God and can release the judgments of God. May we repent for the killing of babies in our nation and ask God for forgiveness. We pray for God to help us bring in the kind of revival that will bring a fundamental shift to the value systems of our nation and restore a heart of mercy toward the unborn.

Psalm 139:13,15-16, "For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written..."

Psalm 127:3, “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

Deut. 30:19, “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life that both you and your descendants may live;”

Prov 24:11, “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.”

Amos 1:13 “For three transgressions of the people of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they ripped open the women with child in Gilead, that they might enlarge their territory.”

Luke 1:41, “And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”

Gal 1:15, “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace…”

Prov 6:16-17
