Weekly Watch Focus: Shout And Take Your City

FRIDAY, MAY 4, 2012. The Lord gave His people instructions through His servant Joshua, "Shout, for the Lord has given you the city" (Josh 6:16). They did, and God made the walls of Jericho fall. We want to make a great shout, and welcome an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. May we take back our cities for God. May the Lord break down the walls of poverty, addiction, violence, corruption, antichrist strongholds, and anything else that resists the power and name of Christ. ??Pray specifically for your city as well as cities like Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, New York, and Miami and others that are plagued with gangs, violence, and murder. Bind the dark spirits that holds these cities in the grip of violence and murder. May families be renewed. May children be delivered from gangs. As the Lord gave Joshua authority to take Jericho, may fresh authority be released over His believing Church to give the shout of triumph that will make every evil wall of resistance fall. May the Captain of Angel armies fight for us and give us our cities. May they come to peace and prosperity.

Josh 6:16, "On the seventh time around the priests blew the trumpets and Joshua signaled the people, 'Shout!—God has given you the city!'"

Jer. 29:7, "And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace."
