Metro Watch Report — December 2, 2011(Let Us Adore Him!)
Pray for Our Armed Forces
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chron. 7:14 NKJV)
Guest Artist Suzy Yaraei set the focus on God in worship through prophetic song. She joined with the youth singing the Lord’s Prayer and led us as we interceded for our loved ones in need of salvation. We sang His Song and uttered His Sound and Heaven came down to kiss the earth with peace, love, and glory!
Message: Dave Foxworth
Isaiah 57:15 (NKJV). For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “ I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Dave began by saying that humility is what will attract God to us. We need to come clean about everything before our Holy God. Evan Roberts asked the Lord to “Bend him” and 100,000 souls were saved. Moving into holiness and purity is where revival begins. Isa. 66:1-2:
Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made, and all those things exist,” says the Lord. “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word."
James 4:6 says that God gives grace to the humble. We must allow God to do that work in us. God is not into you beating up on yourself. We must instead come crying out to Him to search our hearts, to cleanse us and to set us on the right path to do His will in the earth.
Dave described how this happened in the revival that swept through the Hebrides Islands:
In the wake of the trauma of WWII, spiritual life was at low tide on the Hebrides Islands off the coast of Scotland but a gracious movement began on the island of Lewis in November 1949. Two older women, one of them 84 years of age and the other 82 and blind, were greatly burdened because of the appalling state of their own parish. A verse gripped them: "I will pour water on him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground." They were so burdened that both of them decided to spend much time in prayer. After several months of praying several times a week for extended periods, they received a dream about a revival coming to their area and shared it with their pastor, a call for prayer then went out to all the church leaders. And after months more of prevailing prayer, a well-known minister was called in. He arrived two weeks later through God-orchestrated circumstances. At his first meeting, one man came and reverently challenged God and said, “Oh God, You made a promise to pour water on dry ground. Your honor is at stake; I now challenge You to fill Your covenant.” It was reported that the building shook and the heavens opened—men and women throughout the area were even found along the roadside crying out to God for mercy. The revival that came to those islands touched every age, every social class, unbeliever and believer alike and lasted well into the fifties.
We must position ourselves to be in a posture for the glory of God.
Words of Knowledge: Someone is feeling like something is choking them due to stress or anxiety. Hearing loss in the left ear. Tonsils need healed. Mental attacks and tormenting thoughts. Spiritually dry. Depression and suicidal. Two families facing cancer. Healing in the right eye. Small Watch Group covenanted together to pray for a family member-before the year is out salvation is coming. Someone is receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Healing for teeth.
Word of Wisdom: Bless your family now, no matter how they manifest. They are coming home!
Prophetic Vision: Aslan represents Jesus in Narnia. He came by singing. The electrograph displays the sound as it goes through the computer by “peaks and valleys.” The song of creation is flowing through peaks of amazing experiences and valleys of sorrow. Flat lands become places we can see really far and travel really fast. It is a song of the land. We are a note in the song of God’s creation that He is singing.
Troops: We loosed a prophetic act of flying under the shadow of His wings (Ps. 91). We declared that covering for our troops and their families. We decreed peace, protection and victory on every front and that the Glory would surround them with joy and singing.
America: We pray Prov. 11:14 over our leaders and for the fullness of God to come and protect our president.
Israel: Isaiah 62:6-7 over her. We speak peace and protection.
Pastors/Spiritual Leaders: Blessing in every area of their lives. We speak that their prayers will be answered. You, God, are expanding their tent pegs. Bless their children. You are doing a new thing with them!
Ps. 27:1, 91:11; Isa. 62; Ps. 24; Isa. 44.
