Watch Focus: Deliver Us from the Devourer

“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field, Says the Lord of hosts;” (Malachi 3:11)

The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but You, Lord, came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Come Lord Jesus. Cover us and surround us by Your precious blood. Have mercy on the poor and the humble and deliver us from evil.

As Russia continues its advance on Ukraine, oil prices have risen even further. This drives up the costs of all goods beyond the level already affected by rising inflation. Much of the world’s food supply is reliant on wheat and other goods from Ukraine and Russia. We claim God’s wisdom for the nations. We ask for God’s help to find solutions. We ask He protect the infrastructure and the food supply of innocents around the world from this attack on life. Lord, give us a great turnaround for every nation. Guard the poor against lack and starvation. Give us a supernatural wind of grace and divine inspiration of inventions and solutions that will protect the nations from evil.

Lord God, come and heal our economy. We agree together now and REBUKE the devourer! May inflation end and recovery begin. Bring restoration to families struggling with financial need. We claim Your abundant supply. Lord, bless Your people so that we may live in an overflow that will help feed the poor and needy around the globe and be a friend to Israel. Order and re-order our financial structures and institutions in Your wisdom and Your model. Bless our businesses and job markets. We ask Lord, “show us now Your ways, that we may know You in order to find favor in Your sight” (Exodus 33:13).

We pray also for protection from cyberattacks on our government institutions, on critical infrastructure, financial markets, and on businesses. We take authority over the devourer and over disruption of the global economy. Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered! (Psalm 68)

You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame.”

Proverbs 3:9-10, “Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.”

Psalm 127:1, “Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.”

Isaiah 2:3, “Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”
