Watch Focus - Pentecost: Come, Holy Spirit!

This weekend marks the beginning of the Feast of Pentecost (Shavuot) on the Hebrew calendar. As Jews and Christians celebrate this feast, we rejoice in the fulfillment of Shavuot, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. The coming of the Holy Spirit through the finished work of Jesus was the most essential aspect of human life. With hearts of gratitude and admiration for this unspeakable gift, we welcome a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit with signs, wonders, and miracles that will impact every person in the world. With one voice we cry out, “Come, Holy Spirit! In Your mercy, empower us so we can proclaim the glory of the risen savior, Jesus Christ.” We also pray for a special blessing on Israel and the Jewish people who welcomed and stewarded the Word of God from Mt Sinai.

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost resulted in the glorious birth of the Church of Jesus Christ. We bless our local church and believing Churches across the world. We bind the demonic forces that would weaken the Church local and universal—including spirits of antichrist, witchcraft, division, strife, discouragement, and political correctness. May our Churches be blessed with supernatural increase, experience a mighty infilling of the Holy Spirit, and triumph mightily against the gates of hell.

Acts 2:1-4, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Acts 2:17-18, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.and on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.”

Leviticus 23:15-16, “‘And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed. Count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall offer a new grain offering to the Lord.”

Acts 10:44-46, “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.”

Zechariah 10:1, “Ask rain from the LORD in the season of the spring rain, from the LORD who makes the storm clouds, and He will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.”

Exodus 19:16,19, “On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud trumpet blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled. Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God…The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the Lord called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.”
Matt 16:18, “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Acts 2:46-47, “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

Acts 9:31, “Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.”
