Weekly Watch Focus: Seek His Face and Remember 9-11

FRIDAY, September 9, 2011. As we set aside forty days of fasting and prayer for His Presence, we humble ourselves before our King. Declare His glory and the lordship of Jesus over America and the nations. We seek His face, first and foremost. Above our economy, our nation or Israel, it’s Jesus and His Kingdom. Pray for a breaking of the spiritual and natural drought over our land. Ask for an outpouring of His Holy Spirit, that He might visit us again, resulting in the next Great Awakening.

While we seek the Lord, we remember those who lost their lives on 9/11. As we commemorate the 10th anniversary of this day, may the Lord continue to comfort the families and loved ones who grieve, bringing blessing where there was great loss, and honor for all who lost their lives in the line of duty on 9/11 and in the days since.

The terror threats still continue. We need to pray for God to protect our nation from all acts of terror. Pray for safety for our families, our cities and wisdom and discernment for all those who guard our security.

2 Chron. 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Phil 2:9-11, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Psalm 27:8, “My heart says of you, ‘Seek his face!’ Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

Psalm 24:5-6, “They will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God their Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.”

Ps. 91:11, “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

I am grateful to be a part of this corporate prayer and fasting season. I have also been praying that those that are against the good things of God will either have a change of heart through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, or become impotent to do harm to anything or anyone that belongs to God. I've been praying for everyone I see, everyone I pass by in car or on foot, anyone in line with me in store or market, that God will pour out His Spirit to any beating heart. Praise God and thanks to God for this time of fasting of prayer! paula

The chapter has described everything in a good method. I have read many chapters and I loved this one. The words used to describe the article is very smart. Always keep assigning such helpful posts. I regularly refer the site to learn your blogs. Writing an article in a meaningful way needs good effort. Many are failing to convey their ideas to the readers. You have taught everything like a pro. It was really interesting to read such a post.

Let us continue to cry out to God for the next Great Awakening. Ask the Lord for an open heaven. May He pour out His Spirit of revival awakening all who slumber, setting captives free, opening blind eyes, bringing prodigals home, and revealing His glory..
