Weekly Watch Focus: America—Pray for a Great Awakening

FRIDAY, May 3, 2013 This week, millions of Christians across America joined their hearts and prayers to ask our Heavenly Father for His grace and mercy for our nation on the National Day of Prayer. This tradition, begun by our Founding Fathers who honored Christ and the Judeo-Christian traditions guided by the Bible, is a clear reminder from history that it is the Spirit of God that ordained America to be a standard-bearer for His end-time purposes. Let us thank the Lord for His gracious hand on us as we continue to lift up our nation. Pray for our leaders and all those defending our freedoms. May there be a great awakening that will restore us to our Judeo-Christian foundations. May we remain a friend to Israel so that God may be pleased to bless our future.
 

Jer 6:16a “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.”
1 Tim. 2:1-2, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

2 Chron. 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Acts 2:1-4, “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
