Watch Focus - Jesus at the Epicenter

And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, “Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.” And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Nevertheless, I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem… How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”  Luke 13

Our Watch Focus is prayer from the prophetic perspective and action of Jesus as Supreme Authority:

His absolute authority over demonic powers.

His absolute authority over sickness and infirmity.

His absolute authority to complete His mission.

Jesus set His face and went to the political and religious epicenter. He understood the significance of confronting princes and powers in place there. He contrasted human authority to His own and put the leader in his proper place. Jesus was moved over the city’s destiny and lamented how far it had strayed:

“How often I wanted to gather your children together, but you were not willing!”

We pray for a surge of patriotic unity to gather this nation again.

Psalm 118:22; 25-26 The stone the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone… Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord.

We intercede, “Save now, Lord! Send prosperity once again. We decree: Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! We loose the authority of blessing over America once again.”

When Jesus entered Jerusalem, He wept for her condition. He went straight to the epicenter, the Temple, and drove out the brokers and moneychangers using that place to their own benefit and business.

“Lord Jesus, we welcome You to come in power to every seat of authority. We expel corrupt powers and persons. We welcome the servants and messengers You anoint for America in this hour to take their place. We decree, Awake, America! Recognize and receive the day of our visitation.”

We welcome and receive a fresh wave of prophetic spirit and anointing to revive and direct our words in corporate prayer.

We pray, “Lord Holy Spirit, teach, lead, guide, and remind us as we gather and agree. Cleanse our hearts. Inspire our spirit. Fill our mouths with Your word of authority and power. Identify and disarm princes and powers who oppose You. We lift up the Name above all names and loose Your kingdom decree to advance in heart capturing conviction and good news of salvation!”

Father in heaven, we pray for every person impacted by the terrible assassination attempt on President Trump. We pray for Corey Comperatore’s wife and daughters. Come to them in covering comfort in this tragic loss of their husband and father. We thank You for Your covering hand, the millimeter miracle, that saved the President’s life. We thank You for the complete recovery of both men who were wounded by gunshot. We pray for each of these, their families, communities, our nation, and for the family of Thomas Crooks, that “the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings” (Malachi 4:2). Amen.
