Watch Focus Sept 19th 25: Pray without Ceasing for the United States of America
As we enter the last week of our corporate fast we lay our prayer before the Lord for revival to come pouring down on us, on our families, on the church, on our cities, on our nation.
In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, an awakening has begun across many sectors of our society and in our public discourse. People are turning to, turning back to, the Lord, the bible, the church. We pray, “Even so, come Lord Jesus. Unite our hearts and teach us the fear of the Lord.”
We commit afresh to Paul’s exhortation to “…..be unceasing and persistent in prayer;” (1 Thessalonians 5:17 Amplified Bible).
As the Church in America, we stand in the broken down places for our cities and Nation and cry ‘Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be done as it is in Heaven!’
We ask for His commanded blessing from Psalm 133 and pray the Church comes together in a genuine Unity of the Spirit. We fondly remember seasons where our Nation was much more united and pray a fresh national unity comes.
Psalm 133
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil upon the head,
Running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron,
Running down on the edge of his garments.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
Descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the Lord commanded the blessing—
Life forevermore.
May the Church truly be salt and light in our times in whatever sphere of influence the Lord places us. We take great encouragement from Charlie Kirks life and ministry. We press into Paul’s Apostolic Prayer to be directed in this Colossians 1:9-11, For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;
2 Thessalonians 3:1 Amplified Bible, “Finally, brothers and sisters, pray continually for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be honored [triumphantly celebrated and glorified], just as it was with you;”
According to Psalm 134 we lift up our hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord and receive His blessing from Zion!
Psalm 134
A Song of Ascents.
Behold, bless the Lord,
All you servants of the Lord,
Who by night stand in the house of the Lord!
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary,
And bless the Lord.
3 The Lord who made heaven and earth
Bless you from Zion!
