Except God
“For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You." (2 Chron. 20:12b).
Some of us fight depression; others constantly battle with besetting sin, fits of rage, ungodly attitudes, rejection, poverty or infirmities. These are strongholds. We can try to deal with them in our own strength, but for total victory we need God’s delivering power over that enemy. We need to echo the prayers of King Jehoshaphat and say, “Lord, before this enemy I have no might. I humble myself; give me victory.”
Prayer: Father God, I confess that I struggle with ____________. I repent and come before you to say, my help comes from You alone. I am powerless before this enemy. Come with your delivering power in Jesus mighty name.
