Persistent Prayer - Part 3

“I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest till He established Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth” (Isaiah 62:6-7).

There is one thing that God has clearly commanded every one who calls on His name to pray for: Jerusalem. It is the city He calls by His name. It is the location where Jesus sealed our redemption on the cross and it is the place where He will return in glory.  Prosperity is tied to prayer and love for Jerusalem’s peace.
God’s blessing is on all who bless Israel.

If you want to see personal destiny and breakthrough fulfilled, begin by blessing God’s people, Israel and consistent, persistent, watching prayer for Jerusalem.

Prayer:
God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, I thank You for grafting me into Your glorious family through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I thank You for pouring out the blessings of Abraham on me through baptism in Your Holy Spirit. I thank You for bringing me into covenant with You. I pray right now for the natural children of Abraham, Israel. Lord, I pray for their blessing and increase. I pray for Your protection and mercy, and I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May America remain a friend to Israel, that Your blessings could continue to be on our land.

If you have never been to Israel, I invite you to join Bonnie and me for our Watchman Tour to Israel, March 9-19, 2011.

Jesus asked an amazing question related to prayer: “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” In other words, Jesus is saying that your faith is directly expressed by your prayer life.
In Luke 18:1-8, the widow demonstrates the power of persistent, insistent and focused prayer.
The enemy hates prayer, particularly corporate prayer, because he knows that when two or more come into agreement with the Holy Spirit, the devil will lose every time.
