Weekly Watch Focus: REMEMBER 9-11 and our Armed Forces
FRIDAY, September 7, 2012. As we commemorate the anniversary of this day, remember those who lost their lives on 9/11. May the Lord continue to comfort the families and loved ones who grieve, bringing blessing where there was great loss, and honor for all who lost their lives in the line of duty on 9/11 and in the days since. In memorial of the terribleattacks, pray for a renewal of Judeo-Christian foundations and peace and protection from our enemies for the sake of our future generations. Bind the spirit behind Jihadism and terror.
May we hold our armed forces in prayer and honor as they serve the course of freedom far from their families and friends. Pray that our government authorities will support our troops with full supplies, wise strategies, and diplomacy until the mission is accomplished in Afghanistan. Bind the spirit of violence and betrayal in the Afghan forces our soldiers are training. May angels protecteach of our soldiers and bring them home safely.
Is 54:14 In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.
Ps. 91:4, 11, “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”
Ps 27:2-5, “When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shallhide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
Ps. 118:5-9 “I called on the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is for me among those who help me; therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.” |
