Watch Focus November 8, 2024: Thanksgiving and Praise for America’s destiny; Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 136:1-4

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4

From the Watch of the Lord we give THANKS to the Lord for an answer to prayer and an answer to our recent fast for a peaceful and clear election in the Unites States. We pray for a supernatural hedge of protection to surround the current and incoming presidents and for a peaceful transition of power in the New Year. We cover the coming months with tranquility and grace from the Holy Spirit of God. May the Lord, the source of all wisdom, give supernatural advice to the President Trump and the incoming cabinet and appointed and hired staff to execute their offices for the benefit of the nation in line with God’s purposes and for the sake of our people and for the sake of all nations. 

For America’s destiny we take encouragement and hope from Acts 27:21-26, “But after long abstinence from food, then Paul stood in the midst of them and said, “Men, you should have listened to me, and not have sailed from Crete and incurred this disaster and loss. And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, ‘Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’ Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me. However, we must run aground on a certain island.”

Paul had a mission and calling from God to stand before Caesar. Some bad decisions from the leadership of the ship Paul was on led to potential calamity and disaster BUT Paul got a word from the Lord that the ship and everyone on it would be safe. This is a picture for our nation. Let us continue watching and praying a receiving the word of the Lord for America to fully fulfill its mission, purpose and destiny!

May the Lord, in His mercy, grant us control over crime, over poisoning drug traffic, and over our borders. May he give us the plan to save our nations long term fiscal and economic health and rescue us from being a debtor nation so we may continue to serve Him. May the United States remain a Christian nation, able to spread the gospel of Jesus and Holy Spirit revival to all peoples. We bind the spirit of delusion, enchantment, and witchcraft which has driven many in our nation into darkness and pray that the minds of our people be delivered from the evil one and from doctrines of demons which would divide America from her appointed destiny in God. 

Pray that America commit always to bless Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The Bible promises that God will bless those who bless Israel (Gen. 12:3). Those who curse Israel, will suffer God’s curse. We pray that that our nation will always support Israel’s right to exist and for an undivided Jerusalem as her capital (Ps. 122:6). As we see from attacks on Jews and Israeli football fans on the streets of Amsterdam this week, the dragon is at work stirring up hatred for the remnant of God’s chosen people, by whom He swore to bless all nations. May our leaders and our people remain a friend to the nation of Israel and be a rescue for her people in these times of increased global Jew-hatred and horrific anti-Semitic attacks on Israel. 

Isa. 60:1-4, “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.”

1 Timothy 2:1-2, “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

Gen. 12:3, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Isa. 62:6-7, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.”
